MoonDNS is a simple, private DNS service. It’s encrypted by default and built to minimize data collection so your browsing stays private.
Private by default
No logs on queries or IP addresses.
Encrypted protocols (DoH/DoT) are recommended and enabled. We only retain aggregated uptime and capacity metrics — never per-client or per-query data.

Use the provided DoH/DoT endpoints in your device or browser. Later, create a profile on my.moondns.io to manage filters and preferences — nothing complicated.
Security that keeps you safe
Protect against known threats with sensible defaults.
We offer optional threat-blocking and allow you to enable additional protections per profile. When enabled, requests to known malicious hosts are stopped at the resolver level — no extra client software required.
Privacy you can understand
No query logs, no IP logs, no selling or sharing.
Our baseline service is designed to collect as little as possible: no personal identifiers, no query history, and only short-lived aggregated metrics for reliability. If you opt into account features later, those settings are kept separate from resolver telemetry.
